It is with profound regret that we report the demise of BARRISTER EKONTANG ELAD.

Barrister ELAD passed away in BUEA, on Monday, May 29th 2023.

The learned Barrister who has a lengthy and very impressive academic record, - having attended Saint Joseph's College Sasse, Virginia Union University, Harvard and Middle Temple University in the UK, to name just these few institutions, taught in SAKER BAPTIST COLLEGE as a "young lad", back in 1973/1974, before making a name for himself as a well respected and distinguished lawyer.

His demise leaves a gaping void in Cameroon's Judiciary circles, and deals an even bigger blow to his Family.

We extend heartfelt condolences to them all, particularly to his SAKERETTE ...

- DAUGHTERS: EVENYE ELAD (Class of 1984) and MALICA ELAD,
- SISTERS: WENDOLINE ELAD (Class of 1976) and LINDA ELAD EWUSI (Class of 1979), and
- NIECES: GRACE ELAD & MAGDALINE ELAD.

Ahead of the funeral arrangements being made to honor him in CAMEROON, there will a CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE held in MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, on Saturday, July 15th 2023.

Mrs. ANASTASIA ESUNG NGAMBI
SAKER MOM
SUNRISE: Saturday, October 28th 1950
SUNSET: Sunday, October 22nd 2023
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. ANASTASIA ESUNG NGAMBI.

Mrs. Ngambi who died suddenly in LIMBE, on Sunday, October 22nd 2023, would have turned 73 TODAY, had she lived just 6 more days!

Needless to say, her family - her 90+ old mother included, is devastated, as are her former students, given she was a seasoned, veteran teacher, prior to her retirement and her OPSAN sisterhood.

We extend our deepest condolences to her Husband, and her 5 children, 2 of whom are SAKERETTES:

- RACHEAL NDUMA MEKOLLE (Class of 1992/'94) and
- IMMACULATE TOMBISE NGAMBI (Class of 2002/'04),

not forgetting her SAKERETTE Granddaughter:

- LOREDAYNA NTUBE MFONE (Class of 2020)

May her soul rest in perfect peace.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
PA DANIEL BATAKWI AJAME
SAKER DAD
SUNRISE: June 15th 1946
SUNSET: October 29th 2023
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of PA DANIEL BATAKWI AJAME which occurred on Sunday, October 29th 2023 in Cincinatti Ohio (U.S.A.)

Late PA AJAME worked as CUSTOMS OFFICER for over 3 decades, but he may be better known as the BUSINESS ICON who owned "JUMBO PALACE" Motel in LIMBE, which explains why he was fondly and more commonly referred to as "PA JUMBO".

The NEW TOWN resident who was:

- a very proud CPC BALI "OLD BOY" (BOBAN),
- a dedicated CHRISTIAN MEN'S FELLOWSHIP (CMF) Member,
- the indefatigable PROJECT COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN who labored hard to build the current PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in New Town,
- a very involved OSHIE Culture Leader, and
- a Member of several Social and Developmental Organizations, many of which he founded or was a pioneer member of,

suffered a stroke some 10 years back which he never quite recovered from even with the efforts made when he moved to the United states.

He leaves behind his Wife - Mama REGINA MIRIAM AJAME nee ANYANGWE, to whom he had been married 55 years and who happens to be the SISTER of erstwhile SBC Tutor, Mr. MARTIN ANYANGWE, which in turn makes him an IN-LAW to the TON of ANYANGWE SAKERETTES, as well as to SAKERETTES Mrs. DEBORAH AWURO and her Daughters LORNA and BERNICE AWURO.

We address our sincere condolences to them all, but especially to his

SAKERETTE DAUGHTERS:
- ARABEL AMBANG AJAME ANAGHO (Class of 1997/1999) and
- COLLETTE TAKWI AJAME ATEMNKU (Class of 1999)
and his
SAKERETTE NIECE:
- ISABEL AKARAGWE CHINJE (Class of 1991)

LATE PA AJAME is described as someone who had a heart of gold, (lending money to friends to pay their children’s school fees without contracts), as one who had throngs of people "congregate" in his home to watch movies in those days when he was one of the first to own a TV set in Newtown Limbe, as a caring, loving father to all, a gentle man, a very handsome and elegant "nyanga" man, soft-spoken, witty, kind, and compassionate, the life of the party who loved to sing and dance ...
All reasons why he will definitely be missed by many!

May God provide solace to all who mourn his passing and REST HIS SOUL!

Mr. & Mrs. AJAME

It is with such a heavy heart that we announce the passing into eternity of PROFESSOR MATHEW BASUNG GWANFOGBE, husband of CLASS OF 1972's Mrs. HELEN GWANFOGBE nee NJINIBAM, erstwhile President of the Ex-Saker Students Association (ExSSA).

The death occurred on Thursday, May 30th 2024 at the Bafoussam Referral Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was a seasoned Educationist and a respected Author whose painstaking work curating and documenting the history and geography of his native BALI NYONGA is of inestimable value not just to his people but to Cameroon as a whole.

His loss will be keenly felt by the various communities and institutions he served so enthusiastically, knowledgeably, and selflessly, notably the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), the Bali Old Boys Association (BOBA), and the countless traditional groups he became an indelible part of as he sojourned in various cities around the Country and the World.

He will also be sorely missed by the many he nurtured and mentored and especially by his family - both immediate and extended.

We extend our most sincere condolences to them all, particularly to his beloved Wife MA HELEN who was by his side even as he drew his last breath, and their Children, Daniel, Elvira and Mildred, even as we pray for God's Peace and Comfort to surround and indwell them as they go through this very trying period.
