You would have thought, with the ExSSA-UK CONVENTION coming up in less than 2 Months, that the JULY edition of ExSSA-LONDON's Quarterly Meeting would be entirely about PLANNING to make the group's attendance and participation in the STRATFORD-UPON-AVON Rendez-Vous the "CAM & SEE WANDAS" it usually is!

However, with 4 CLASS OF '77 PLUCKYS - Sisters Belinda Oben Assam, Vicky Mutanga Timi, Grace Ewang Elume, Janet Mbarika Ndangoh, - visiting LONDON from Cameroon and hosted by their 2 LONDON-resident classmates - Sisters Irene Tamajong (President of ExSSA-UK) and Jacobine Mbua Warner, that meeting had no choice but to become EXTRAORDINARY "wah" it was!!! (That's just how THE PLUCKYS roll oh! They just can't help it!)

So, they kicked off their get together by attending the ExSSA-London quarterly meeting within which a MINUTE OF SILENCE was observed for their recently fallen classmate, Late Sis ALICE FOTOH, then it was off to Sis Irene's for a Plucky Reception, Pyjama party and breakfast before the visitors set off for their various destinations within the UK.

As  for those MINT GREEN PLUCKY T-SHIRTS they're wearing, they read: "Plucky 77 U.K. Set your Ideals High!"
And if you know anything at all about THE LEGENDARY PLUCKYS, then you know they have gone well beyond just "SETTING ideals high"; they have actually MET - and surpassed them!
LONDON WAS ALL ABUZZ !!!!!
6 PLUCKYS IN THE ExSSA-LONDON HOUSE!
PLUCKYS LIVING IT UP IN LONDON!!!
L to R: Sisters Vicky Mutanga Timi, Janet Mbarika Ndangoh, Belinda Oben Assam, Grace Ewang Elume, Irene Tamajong and Jacobine Mbua Warner
IT WAS A VERY FULL HOUSE AT EXSSA-LONDON'S QUATERLY MEETING, JULY EDITION!!!

CARAT/GRAND CARAT EVIE (daughter of Egbe Takor and and granddaughter of Mrs. Eyere Takor) sure made her presence felt as well!!!
CLASS OF 2003/2005 SBC GRADUATE, Mrs. MONA FRANKA ADABA (known as MONA OTIA in her Saker Days) has authored a book which she and AMAZON.COM say is meant for the "LITTLE ONES".
I just checked out the description of the book and this is what it says:

"Honesty, Kindness, Modesty and Zeal are all virtues little ones need to possess to be well-mannered examples to those around them. Little ones are like plants, if they are carefully nurtured, they will become wholesome and produce better fruit. Instruction to children should begin early in childhood. "The Virtue Alphabet" will provide little ones with the tools they need and make learning virtues fun, using illustrated pictures that help facilitate dialogue between parent and child. By waking up at the start of each day with a new virtue, Little ones will incorporate these virtues seamlessly as part of their daily lives. A wonderful addition to any home or library."

The over-a-quarter-of-a-century long Teacher and Mom that I am couldn't agree more!!! In fact, it was all I could do, being in a public setting when I read this, to restrain myself from jumping to my feet and HOLLERING: "PRRRRRREACH!!!!!

I would even go further to dare "DISAGREE" with the author and Amazon's choice of who the "TARGET AUDIENCE" of this book titled "THE VIRTUE ALPHABET", should be!!!!
WHY?
Because it's not just "LITTLE ONES" who need to have these VIRTUES and VALUES inculcated into their very systems!!!
Gray-haired, bearded and kwata-to-the-grave ADULTS, - RÉPÉs, RÉMÉs and MBAMBAS, do need to be reminded to be "WELL-MANNERED" and exhibit virtues like "HONESTY, KINDNESS, MODESTY and ZEAL" as well!
Anyone who disagrees must not be watching/reading the NEWS, must definitely not have attended a KONTRI, KWATA, ALUMNI, FAMILY or even CHURCH MEETING lately, and must not have gone anywhere near a Secondary or High School Classroom in DECADES!!!!

TRUTH IS: "HOME TRAINING" as it was referred to back in the day, is all but EXTINCT, the world over.

So, after we each purchase this THE VIRTUE ALPHABET book for our (GRAND)CHILDREN, NIECES, NEPHEWS, GODSONS, GODDAUGHTERS, STUDENTS, etc., we ourselves might do well to sit our very own "bAhinds" down and READ IT for our own edification, so that we are able to go beyond just READING the book to them, to actually MODELING the virtues we'd like them to adopt and emulate!!! (Who doesn't know that they are far more prone to COPYING what we DO than docilely following what we tell them to do?????)

I know no one would have a problem spending $10 to buy this book when they know full well that the cost - down the road, of BAILING A WURU-WURU, NO DEY HEAR 12, TRONG HEAD CHILD FROM JAIL is far higher, not to talk of the emotional heartache involved!!!!!

Here's THE LINK TO CLICK & PURCHASE THE BOOK::

"SISTERHOOD"!!!
MA'A CATHERINE MUSOKO: A 95 YEAR OLD DEFINITELY WORTH CELEBRATING!!!
GREETINGS!
If, in my Mid to Late 70s days in Saker Baptist College, you mentioned the single word "PA'A" in reference to a TUTOR, there would be quite some uncertainty as to WHO exactly you were referring to, because it could be:
PA'A NDAME (as in "Monsieur"),
PA'A HADDIE (as in Mr. George Haddison),
PA'A TAMBE (as in, Mr. J.U. Tambe),
PA'A IKOME (as in Chief Ikome), or even
PA'A TAYUI himself, (as in "BABA")!!!

Conversely, there was absolutely NO confusion, when the word "MA'A" was used!!!
THE ONE AND ONLY PERSON REFERRED TO AS "MA'A" (with no Surname or First Name attached was Mrs. CATHERINE MUSOKO, OUTSPOKEN, UNFILTERED, SKILLED and UNFILTERED WIELDER OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
The one who lived in the right side of the DUPLEX that stood by "THE TAP", next to the WORKSHOP, at the CREST of the hill that led from NEW TOWN through S.B.C.'s gate into the campus.

Hers was the type of class in which you rarely heard "obscure/abstract" terms like "Predicate", "Preterit", "Adjunct", "Syntax" and Past Participle". (That was PA'A NTONI (as in, Mr. Lucas Ntonifor)'s type of class.
In her class, YOU WERE SIMPLY TAUGHT, PRACTICALLY, HANDS-ON and CONCRETELY, HOW TO SPEAK GOOD, CLEAN ENGLISH. PERIOD!!!!! BELIEVE THAT!

In between her ...
Teaching us a song or two, (Every single time I hear "ETERNAL FATHER STRONG TO SAVE" played or sung, I get misty-eyed with NOSTALGIA, albeit a good 4 decades after I first heard her sing it to my FORM 1 Class (and WOE BETIDE anyone who she believed she had heard adding a "MAGIC PART" to the song!! Hahahahahaha!!!);
Commenting, as she herself wept, on the demise of such people as Late Mr. TATAW OBENSON aka AKO-AYA (whose twin daughters were are our classmates) and a certain Monsieur SIMON MPONDO who was murdered in Douala; and
Chiding us for our lack of etiquette or manners (you did not dare sneeze, fail to say "Excuse Me" and get away with it!), etc.
In between all of this "extracurricular" stuff, she did teach and model how to SPEAK & WRITE English correctly, - her famous QUESTION TAGS included, as in:
"Dr. MBONGO has a wig! DOES HE?
"Mr. MBILE fell down! "DID HE REALLY??

Weh! They really do not make'em like her anymore!

Well, AAAAALL of that said, OUR BELOVED MA'A turned 95 a couple of months ago, and her children, in keeping with the GOD-GIVEN COMMAND that we honor our parents, held a DINNER PARTY for her at the BONAPRISO Residence of the 3rd of her Daughters to attend Saker Baptist College - CLASS OF 1978's Mrs. SUSAN ELINGE MUSOKO EKOLLO, the first 2 SAKERETTE daughters being - CLASS OF 1967's Ms JANET MBOTI NGONGI and CLASS OF 1976's LATE Dr. OLIVE MBANGU MUSOKO. (R.I.P.)

Wondering who the SPECIAL INVITEE at the Dinner was?
'Twas none other than MA'A's "little" brother, 93 YEAR OLD MOLA NJOH LITUMBE, himself FATHER of 3 SAKERETTES as well:
CLASS OF 1970's Mrs. LIENGU LITUMBE MARTIN, CLASS OF 1979's Mrs. ENANY LITUMBE NJIE and CLASS OF 1982's Ms EMBELLE LITUMBE.

Care for a little history? Sooooo THRILLED you said "YES" because I am positive that you'd be interested in knowing that this UNIQUE PAIR are, in fact, the LAST SURVIVING TWO who, by dint of their parents being the first and second BAKWERI PASTORS OF THE BASEL MISSION (which later morphed into the current PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN CAMEROON - PCC), had the privilege of being BORN and RAISED in the HISTORIC MITTELSCHULE (GERMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL) which trained the very first Presbyterian Pastors and German Scholars!!
Incidentally, the area where this MITTELSCHULE edifice once stood, is currently home to the CHURCH ON THE HILL IN BUEA STATION and the compound wherein the MODERATOR OF THE PCC resides!

We enthusiastically SALUTE the MATRIARCH - and PATRIARCH, by the way, and pray the ALMIGHTY to continue to sustain them both.

As for our cherished MA'A MUSOKO, who, it must be mentioned also TAUGHT at the BAPTIST TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGE (BTTC) and the BAPTIST BOYS SECONDARY SCHOOL (BBSS) BUEA prior to and after her sojourn at S.B.C respectively, we offer prayers for her WELL-BEING and HEALTH, trusting that HE who has sustained her for close to a full CENTURY now and saw her through the trauma of losing an adult daughter, will continue to BLESS & KEEP her!

PLUCKY CLASS OF 1977 IN THE NEWS ... AGAIN???
FIRST PLUCKYS U.S.A. OUTING! (Maryland, 20 - 22 September)
PLEASE CLICK ON THIS IMAGE TO VIEW FULL PHOTO/VIDEO ALBUM!
THE PLUCKYS U.S.A./MARYLAND STORY as narrated by PLUCKY DORA MOJOKO EWUSI NGOH

The majority of Pluckys live in Cameroon. But many are also chanced to visit this great country from time to time. As you already know, for over a decade now, our Plucky Union has been waxing well and growing from strength to strength. We decided to initiate a Plucky USA branch as a means of also being able to get together not only during conventions but as a means of being able to spend more time together, foster our ideals and keep all of our sisters "within the fold".
Well, getting together now was the challenge as schedules in this country na "wahala". So it kept being pushed until finally a few of us decided that where 2 or 3 are gathered...
We decided that Maryland was somewhat central for most of us so, on the weekend of 20-22 September 2019 the following convened at College Park, MD with no agenda except "we just go nah", anyman bring white and red shirt, plus a promise of a welcome dinner by our sister, Rev. Dr. Mercy Mbandi Forlu.....Stella Enjema Matike, Esther Lamfu Shei, Joan Mancho Mambo, Magdalene Enow Nkeng and myself (the headgirl) Mojoko Ewusi.
Stella Matike took the ferry from Long island to New York and met up with Esther Shei who had driven from Connecticut in a car rented for us by our Pluckinet son, Desmond Shei, ("so you guys can have a great time", he said.)
I flew in from Minnesota, Joana from Houston. We all kinda arrived at the same time to pick up Bache who is visiting from her brother's home. We got to our one room 2 beds hotel, checked in and off we went to Mercy's home for dinner. With her CAT in tow, the welcome was "Dia ra no werds"
The hugging and laughing, plus crying was a manyaka, especially for Mercy who was only seeing some of her sisters again after four decades and 2 years!!!

Ok! The table was a spread oh.....as we ate and couldn't stop talking, up came "Jesus has a table spread" spontaneously. Na so di non'stop singing start wey Bishop Forlu say "Can you ladies sing in church on Sunday"? Haba ! Knowing us spunky ladies we started our small rehearsal. And the evening turned into a non stop recounting of events and hilarious laughter. And while some cats are known for slipping through the backdoor after saying " when ya fren dem kam u get dem dis wine", hhhhhm cat Forlu was there adding to the broking of our banjas. We ended a splendid evening of dinner, song and prayers with a Saturday Agenda of touring the Bible Museum, Space Center and The White House.
We also paid a Condolence Visit to Ma DIBONGE - Mother of our classmate, Sike Dibonge, who had just buried a 3rd child, Peter Dibonge, in Maryland on the 7th of September.  So after Bible Museum and White House we drove to Silver Spring and met with her.  We lifted her up in song and prayer. That l think was the highlight of our trip.

Come Sunday we attended service at the River of Life Assemblies International which is the ministry of the Forlus. The message of Honor your father and mother was deliver in the most powerful and inspirational manner. "Do not wait for when you will turn around to see the empty chair in regret. Take care of your parents now"
The welcome in that church was also come and see. Our unplanned and a bit rehearsed singing that was applauded to shaking of the roof confirmed that we were in the house of God.
After a goodbye lunch again by the Forlus we returned safely to our destinations with a sub-motto of Love, Lead, Lend(a helping hand)
(It's only a sub-motto because the actual Plucky motto is "Set your Ideals High"!
Membership into PLUCKYS USA is fluid. 3 of us from last weekend were visitors. Any visiting plucky is automatically a member.

CLASS OF 1984's Reverend Sister JACQUELINE (JACKIE) MANYI ATABONG has sure made us PROUD ... AGAIN!!!

Here's what the renowned PATCHA FOUNDATION/CASEC had to say about the DESERVING Award Recipient ahead of their GRAND AWARDS GALA/FUNDRAISER which took place on Saturday, October 12th 2019:

Sr. Jacqueline Manyi Atabong
Power of One Recipient

The Power of One Award will recognize her leadership, commitment, dedication and exemplary work in improving the lives of those disenfranchised through poverty, imprisonment and war.
She has championed many causes and programs:
.. in the health sector she founded several health centers and hospitals;
.. in micro-finance, such as the St. Therese Women’s Micro-finance and the Sasse Women’s Micro Finance Groups that have provided start-up loan to over 200 women; and
.. in education with the Sabongari Women’s Center and Vocational School for school drop outs.

Of significant impact is her extensive and tireless work within the prison system in Cameroon, implementing a holistic approach to prison care and advocating on behalf of the wrongly incarcerated resulting in the release of over 20,000 prisoners who had been wrongly imprisoned or were serving beyond their sentence.

Through her NGO Support and Empowerment of Vulnerable Persons (SEV) Foundation, she is “working on restoring the dignity of girls” who have been displaced by the crisis in Cameroon, by rescuing them from pimps who prostitute them, and by offering them education opportunities.

Sr. Jackie's (as she is fondly called,) decades long un-quantifiable humanitarian work and immeasurable impact is testament to the power of one individual to impact the world in extraordinary ways.

Congratulations Sr!

Nothing more to add to this but SakerPride's own heartiest CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
GO, Sister Jackie!

CLASS OF 1984's REVEREND SISTER JACKIE ATABONG RECOGNIZED BY THE PATCHA FOUNDATION!
... And then, a couple of months later, A Class of 1982 delegation came calling, and with their SONGS, PRAYERS and GIFT BASKET, brightened Ma Musoko's Day!
HOW SWEET OF THEM!!!
THE PLUCKY CLASS OF 1977 IS IN THE NEWS ... YET AGAIN!!!!
PLUCKYS CONGO IS BORN! (POINTE NOIRE, October 17-20, 2019)
PLEASE CLICK ON THIS IMAGE TO VIEW FULL PHOTO/VIDEO ALBUM!
The PLUCKY from ENGLAND (Ms IRENE TAMAJONG) and the 2 PLUCKIES from CAMEROON (Ms ROSE ASU AGBOR and PASTOR PHOEBE JOYCE NGUM), who joined the 2 BASED-IN-CONGO (DRC and RC) PLUCKIES (Ms HANNAH ADA TAKANG KAYA and Ms JUDITH EFUNDEM AGBOR ENIE), arrived in CONGO on Monday, October 14th, and Tuesday, October 15th respectively, for what was a WEEK-LONG, EXCITEMENT-PACKED, FUN-FILLED LAUNCHING OF "PLUCKYS CONGO", barely a month after "PLUCKYS MARYLAND" was launched!

By the time that week was over, these 5 EXTRAORDINARY PLUCKIES and the 2 PLUCKY CATS (Messrs KAYA & ENOW) had had the experience of a LIFETIME ...
WINING AND DINING at THE HILTON DOUBLE TREE, at "LE PRINCE HOTEL", at the "COOK FOR YOU AND FEED YOU" KOREAN RESTAURANT and at the KAYA HOME itself where the FUFU STICK and CHAMPAGNE FLUTES were put to excellent use and The FULL, ROASTED-FROM-SNOUT-TO-TAIL "SHWINE" as in "NGOWA" was a MANYAKA all its own;
DRESSING UP FOR AND ENJOYING a "BAL MASQUÉE";
VISITING "LA GORGE DE DIOSSO" (CONGO'S GRAND CANYON), the "MUSÉE MÂ LOANGO", the "MADINGOU BRIDGE, etc.;
GOING ON HEALTH WALKS (The "CYCLIST" & T-SHIRT OUTFITS, the POSES and PICK-A-PIN STRETCHES are just HILARIOUS!!! LOL!!!); and, most significantly,
VISITING THE SO.DI.OS ORPHANAGE (after driving through some serious POTO-POTO), where they delivered FOOD SUPPLIES and SANG for the kids (Awwwww!), etc., ...
PHEW!!!!!
I'm not sure, after going through the close to 350 PICTURES of the EVENT, if my count of 4 DIFFERENT UNIFORMS is accurate, but I believe I noted at least
. A SKY BLUE "PLUCKYS CONGO" T-SHIRT,
. A FUSCHIA "PLUCKYS CONGO" T-SHIRT,
. A WHITE & BLUE "PLUCKYS CONGO" POLO SHIRT, and
. A BEAUTIFUL LAVENDER & GREEN ANKARA & LACE KABA!!!!

Practically IMPOSSIBLE to logically and successfully refute the assertion that THIS PLUCKY CLASS OF 1977 is in A LEAGUE ALL ITS OWN!!!!
CLASS OF 1978's Dr. ESTELLA NKWATE ATEKWANA,
(DEAN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE'S
COLLEGE OF EARTH, OCEAN AND ENVIRONMENT)
RECEIVES OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR AWARD!
The last time CLASS OF 2012's Ms THECKLA EFETI IKOME made SakerPride News was back in 2017 when she and a throng of ever-so-smart SAKERETTES graduated from the University of BUEA's Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, on Saturday October 7 2017.  (SEE PICTURE TO THE LEFT.)

At that time, THECKLA bagged a 2nd Class Degree in NURSING and for many, that would have been quite "sufficient" as far as academic qualifications go, BUT it certainly wasn't for BEAUTIFUL & BRAINY Ms T, because she went right on to enroll in the reputable PAN-AFRICAN UNIVERSITY OF LIFE AND EARTH SCIENCES/UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN and graduated from that institution on the 15th of November 2019, with an MSc. in REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, as in "WOW!!!
CONGRATULATIONS are most definitely in order! WELL DONE, THECKLA! Very PROUD of you!!!!
Be it known that Ms CYNTHIA FONDERSON, CARAT (DAUGHTER) of CLASS OF 1980's MARIE-SOLANGE EVEHE, herself a SAKERETTE who enrolled in Saker Baptist College in 2007, graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a BSc. in Biochemistry with distinction and an Honors Thesis on October 19, 2019.
The Cherry on top of the icing on the celebratory cake that day??? The carat was blessed to have her grandmother attend the ceremony!!! What a JOY to see these 3 sets of BEAMING faces!

Hearty CONGRATULATIONS to the GRAD, as well as to MOM and GRANDMA!!!

THE PLUCKY CLASS OF 1977 HOLDS ITS 12th ANNUAL REUNION (PUN)
(YAOUNDE, NOVEMBER 15th & 16th, 2019)
PLEASE CLICK ON THIS IMAGE TO VIEW FULL PHOTO/VIDEO ALBUM!
THE EXCEPTIONAL PLUCKY CLASS OF 1977 HELD ITS 12th (FORMAL & OFFICIAL) ANNUAL UNION/CONVENTION, (commonly referred to by them as "PUN"), in YAOUNDE on November 15th and 16th 2019, and it was hosted by none other than HER EXCELLENCY, CAMEROON'S MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF SUPREME STATE AUDITS, Justice ROSE NGWARI MBAH ACHA nee FOMUNDAM, herself a proud PLUCKY!

If I start singing their praises now, someone just might say: "E don start ahgain", BUT deh FACT of the mattah is dat, I just have never heard of ANY SAKERETTE Class Annual Reunion where there were 29 MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE from as far as Ngaoundere, Bamenda, Kinshasa, Kumba, Douala, Tiko, Limbe and, of course Yaounde. ("The CAPITAL CITY GIRLS" in their GREEN T-SHIRTS were no joke oh!)
And, guess what? An IMPRESSIVE number of PLUCKYS also PARTICIPATED ACTIVELY VIA SKYPE FROM AROUND THE GLOBE!
This "ATTENDANCE" factor, in and of itself, is record-breaking and pace-setting and trail-blazing!

- Then what about the "FIDUCIARY" part of the equation, with epic SAVINGS and BUYING OF SHARES???? (You already knew they actually own and run a legit COOPERATIVE, right??)
- The PHILANTHROPIC aspect, with their TANGIBLE SUPPORT to IDPs - 5 INTERNALLY DISPLACED FAMILIES from the Northwest and Southwest Provinces, which took place at the HOTEL AZUR in BASTOS???
- The RELIGIOUS side of it all with SOUL-DEEP EXHORTATIONS, PRAYERS & SINGING??? (That rendition of "SOLI DEO GLORIA" - conducted by the Class' MUSIC PREFECT from their 1976/77 FORM 5 Days, Ms SISSAKO TAMKO, was definitely off da chain!!!!)
- The "EPICUREAN" factor - as in, a never-ending ITEM 11???
- The "EDUCATION/INFORMATION" dimension, with a paper on "SEXUAL ASSAULT" presented by Her Lordship Justice BEATRICE NAMBANGI NTUBA - a PLUCKY herself, nkoh???

As for the SHOW-SHOWING, the TWIST COMPETITION to the tune of "I HAVE BEEN TRAVELING, FOR A LONG,LONG, TIME"!! (Cam an' see the contortion of obviously arthritis-free WAISTS!!!!), the ROLL CALL, the SAKER STORIES shared, and everything else, I am pretty convinced that the Hotel Staff, (and probably the other guests as well), of that HOTEL DIPLOMATE in YAOUNDE where the PLUCKYS were lodged for that MEMORABLE WEEKEND of the 15th and 16th of NOVEMBER 2019 is very unlikely to ever FORGET what transpired!!!!

All I have left to do is state, albeit for the umpteenth time that: "THERE JUST AIN'T NO CLASS LIKE THE PLUCKY CLASS OF '77", and then CORDIALLY INVITE YOU to TAKE A LOOK AT THE PHOTO/VIDEO ALBUM (posted above) that barely scratches the surface in its brave attempt to show the HIGHLIGHTS of "PUN 2019"!

CONGRATULATIONS, BELOVED PLUCKYS! KEEP SETTING THOSE IDEALS HIGH, like your motto says, and then, as only YOU can do, MEET and SURPASS them all!!!
YOU ARE SUCH A GLOWING EXAMPLE OF THE VERY ESSENCE OF WHAT SAKERETTE SISTERHOOD IS REALLY & TRULY ABOUT! Couldn't be any PROUDER of you!
KUDOS to CEO Dr. BELINDA OBEN ASSAM and GODSPEED TO THE ENTIRE "CREW"!

PLUCKY CLASS OF '77:
TIGHT-LIKE-GLUE BACK IN 1976/1977, EVEN CLOSER NOW!!!!
The request was simple; it was courteous; it was self-explanatory; Above all, it was truly HEARTWARMING and JOY-INSPIRING; the kind that makes you go "Awwwww! Isn't that sweet!!!"
It came from SOBAN, Dr. ERIC EBAI TAKANG and it just plainly read:

"Hi there! This is a humble CAT. Just wondering if you could put up a post on behalf of Bessem Mary Iyok Epse Takang. (Class of 84 year of entry or 89 Year of leaving Saker.) This is in honour of our 20th wedding anniversary that culminated in a wedding ceremony at Mizpah Baptist Church on 7 December 2019 with a reception that took place at S.S. Club Bota."

Not quite sure what tugged at my heartstrings the most:

-The fact that the request - quite uncharacteristically, came from MONSIEUR-THE-CAT, not MADAME-THE-RAT;
- The fact that this was yet another SASSE BOY - SAKER GIRL affair;
- The fact that the 2 had not just been MARRIED 20 YEARS, (which is the equivalent of a CENTURY worth of matrimony in HOLLYWOOD terms), but that after those 2 decades, they were seeking to "SOLIDIFY" their union whereas others at that point in time are in a "PATCH-PATCH"/"MANAGE-MANAGE"/"NA ONLEY BECAUSE OF PIKIN DEM" frame of mind, with a permanently packed valise standing near the front door, and a TOYOTA PICK UP Driver's number saved to speed dial, in anticipation of a very possible EXIT, following a "CHAKARA" of the "MARRET"!!!!

Even the fact that Sir CAT knew Lady RAT's year of entry into and exit from SBC is not a thing to take for granted, given that I have come across a SAKERETTE or 2 that weren't quite so sure themselves! LOL!!!!
And, truth be told, the mention of the familiar MIZPAH BAPTIST CHURCH (NEW TOWN) and S.S. CLUB BOTA did not leave me indifferent!!! Oh, the MEMORIES; The NOSTALGIA!

In short, I just don't see how I could have turned down the request so, here's the post, ... with my HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS and BEST WISHES for MANY MORE DECADES OF MARITAL BLISS!!
CLASS OF 1989's MARY BESSEM IYOK & "CAT", SOBAN Dr. ERIC EBAI TAKANG CELEBRATE THEIR 20th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!

OUR PAMELA-LISA ARREY GETS THAT MSc. IN ACCOUNTING & FINANCE ... WITH DISTINCTION!! (NOTTINGHAM, U.K. ~ 12 December 2019)
You remember her, don't you???
I knew you would!
No way were you going to forget the PRETTY face of the CLASS OF 2006 SAKERETTE you VOTED and ROOTED sooooo PASSIONATELY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY for, (some of you going as far as spending your precious and hard-earned finances to boost her votes, GOD BLESS YOU!!!), when she was running for the 2019 MISS AFRICA GREAT BRITAIN Pageant back in October.

Remember that BEAUTIFUL, SO MATURE & GRACEFUL "THANK YOU MESSAGE" she sent to all who encouraged and supported her through her journey which got her ranked amongst the TOP 10 CONTESTANTS in the Pageant and culminated in her clinching the BEST CULTURAL ATTIRE/PRESENTATION AWARD??
(Story posted at:

This is an excerpt from that "THANK YOU MESSAGE":
"I keep my head high and am looking forward for the best as I prepare for my upcoming professional internship and equally prepare to do the ACCA certification, after obtaining my M.Sc in Accounting and Finance. May God continue to bless you all immensely. Once more thank you very much."

Be it known, then, that as of yesterday, Thursday, December 12th 2019, the "OBTAINING MY M.Sc IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE" part of PAMELA-LISA ARREY's lofty and worthwhile plans was splendidly accomplished ... WITH DISTINCTION!!!! GLORY HALLELUJAH!

Part of Ma SakerPride's response to that HEARTWARMING message was this:
"KUDOS, Dear Pamela-Lisa. The only person who could be PROUDER of you than US, your "OTHER MOTHERS", Sisters, Brothers, Uncles & Aunties, would be THE MOTHER WHO BIRTHED YOU and who, before her early, very recent demise, DEFINITELY accomplished the task of RAISING YOU RIGHT, with brio!!!! (God Rest Her Soul!)
Will be checking WhatsApp eagerly for a picture of YOU in your GRADUATION ROBE! GO, BABY!!!!!"

Well, OBVIOUSLY, my eager checking of WHATSAPP for a picture of PAMELA-LISA ARREY in her GRADUATION ROBE need not continue; What is not going to cease is the PRIDE, ADMIRATION & SUPPORT! AHEAD, BABY!!! CONGRATULATIONS & GODSPEED!!

Just PLEADING with all heretofore and yet-to-be PROPOSED-to LADIES to PLEASE not hold their PAST/FUTURE "PROPOSERS" to the STANDARD set by OGA SAM MEANO DOJI KALE ooo!!! Would be so UNFAIR, because, as you will agree once you're done watching, that this WELL- ORCHESTRATED, SHE-WOULD-NEVER-HAVE-SUSPECTED-IT-EVEN-IF-SHE-HAD-"4 EYE", UNIQUE, CLASSY "PRODUCTION" is really not something that is easy to replicate!!!

From the 17th to the 19th of November 2021, the PARLIAMENTARIAN FLATS in BUEA hosted about 20 of the Dynamic Ladies that make up the phenomenal PLUCKY CLASS OF '77.
That's because they were having the 2021 edition of their Annual Meeting and as can be expected, they had a pretty RICH program that was the perfect blend of FUN, BUSINESS, PHILANTHROPY, SINGING, DEVOTIONS and ... you guessed it, unabashed SHOW-SHOW.
Don't see any need to go on and on trying to narrate in WORDS what some 70+ PHOTOS & VIDEOS demonstrate so clearly.
All you need to do is is CLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW (LEFT) AND TAKE A GOOD LOOK FOR YOUR OWN SELF!!!!!
