It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Class of 1982's Mrs. MARIE TAKUSI NJOWO (STUDENT #1526).
Marie passed away in the early hours of Friday, November 17th 2023, in Houston, Texas.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Mr. JOHN NJOWO, her 3 children, KOUAZOU, MICHAEL and PEKAM, her Mother, Ma JULIE TAKUSI, (whose 80th Birthday she was planning to celebrate this December), as well as her brothers, BOB, EMMANUEL, JEROME TAKUSI and her only Sister, GENEVIEVE ABA TAKUSI MAKIA of the Class of 1990. (Her older brother, CHARLES TAKUSI, preceded her in death in February of this same year, and was laid to rest in March.)
We extend our heartfelt condolences to them, and pray for God's Peace, Comfort, and strength as they navigate their way through the days, weeks, months and years ahead of them.
Being the vibrant, dynamic, God-fearing, philanthropic, conscientious and community-oriented person that she was, Marie was a staunch, active and very dedicated member of so many groups, including her SAKERETTE groups:
- The SAKERETTES TRANSGLOBAL ALLIANCE (STA),
- The SAKERETTES OF HOUSTON (S.O.H.), and
- The Class of 1982 GOLDEN TEENS.
Marie will be laid to rest on Saturday, December 16th 2023 in HOUSTON, a little over a week before Christmas Day, which would have marked her 59th Birthday.
May her dear soul rest in perfect peace!
Till we meet again, my "bohest boh"!!!! 💔😭
REST! REST! REST!
REST PEACEFULLY IN THE ARMS OF YOUR SAVIOR.
