On the 9th of November 1962 a BEAUTIFUL and FEISTY baby girl was born into the NTUBA Family and they named her CHRISTINA, but everyone who knows her well enough refers to her by the more familiar "KIDI".
There isn't enough ink to write down all that ought to be said about the AMAZING HUMAN BEING that she is:
A "WOMAN NO REST", always busy GETTING THINGS DONE, thoroughly and properly. You cannot sleep past 6 a.m. if she is a GUEST at your house, because she will be up COOKING, CLEANING and SCRUBBING everywhere and just make "KONTRI FASHION" and GUILT catch you for no reason. (WHY she is even cooking anything when she already arrived with all kinds of ngong-ngongs, wata proofs and plastic containers full to the brim, na only OBASE and SOUTHWEST AIRLINES dem sabi!!!)
KIND in the most spontaneous, selfless and unobtrusive of ways, such that you wouldn't know the countless things she has done except the beneficiary of the acts of kindness were to tell you about it.
CARING to the point where you get worried if you haven't seen a text or received a phone call in a couple of days. Need I mention LOYAL, as in SHE GOT YO BACK 24/7???
A DEDICATED and COMMITED WOMAN who doesn't give her word lightly - at all!!! If she says she will do something, then she either will, or die trying to get it done!
The kind of FRANK, NO-NONSENSE yet LOVING BIG SISTER who will TELL YOU THE STRAIGHT UP UNPLEASANT TRUTH you NEED to know but do it in a way that makes it crystal clear it was not done out of Malice, Bad Belleh or any intention to hurt.
The COMMUNITY/PHILANTHROPY-oriented individual who SERVES WITH INTEGRITY like her life depended on it!
Her BAFAW/BAFCUDA community knows it;
The History of ExSSA-USA would be glaringly and undisputedly INCOMPLETE without the mention of her name, (TEACHER - and sometimes Conductress, of all "TUMBALISE", "BAN BA SAKERETTES BA USA" BAFAW SONGS the group learned back in da day), and
When it comes the SAKERETTES TRANSGLOBAL ALLIANCE (STA) whose current PRESIDENT she is, it just wouldn't be what it is today without her PASSION and LEADERSHIP! PERIOD!!
True-true, there really isn't any way to do this WOMAN justice but there's no way one could let this day on which she's turned 60 just slip by - juh like dat, without pausing long enough to LET HER KNOW how LOVED, ADMIRED, RESPECTED and APPRECIATED she is by a TON of us!!!!

FOX will not just be attending but actually SIGNED A CONTRACT to host come Sunday, December 4th 2022 at the SALAMADER HOTEL in WASHINGTON D.C., CAPITAL OF THE U.S.OF A.????
Well, It should tell you that this GATSBY Event which happens to be the 2nd of its kind put together by this hardworking, smart, savvy and exemplarily well-synched FOTE Power Couple is a TOP-NOTCH, CLASSY, and ELEGANT Event of WORLD CLASS STANDARDS, because, had that not been the case, someone of VIVICA's "timbah and calibah" would definitely not want her name associated with it! PERIOD!
(I wouldn't emphasize it, because I know it has already dawned on sharp-minded you that, the 1st ANNUAL GATSBY Showcase in 2021 was A DEFINITE HIT, or Showcase #2 wouldn't be about to happen - and so "biggly" too!!)

"I was very tired and suffering from jetlag, but reluctantly called into our Cameroonian monthly meeting back in July 2022.
Coincidentally, all five ladies on the call were SAKERETTES.
We laughed, exchanged pleasantries, and became the focus of that meeting answering questions.
The male attendees couldn't believe how it turned out that 5 girls from the same school in Limbe worked at Microsoft today.
Patrick Ngatchou, a Principal Software Engineer Manager at Microsoft, took action to share this information with the marketing team. A Communication manager reached out in September to kick-off the process, followed by a series of interviews and meetings.
I am proud to work for a company that lives up to its mission, " to empower every person and organization on the planet, to achieve more".
Inclusion is innovation indeed and a beautiful reminder as we commemorate the International women's day."

It is very true that you would be hard-pressed to find any SAKERETTE who would not be able to list the MANY SKILLS that Miss BINDER is known for.

HOW TO PURCHASE THE BOOK
On the morning of July 5th 2017, Class of 1976's Sis JULIA BAKE MOKWE nee LENYA passed away leaving behind her SAKERETTE DAUGHTERS - IYA MOKWE NKEA, WELISANE MOKWE NKENG, ELOMO JEMEA MOKWE, and BELOE QUEEN MENDE, and, as I suspect she would have wanted, they have gone on to thrive, if not excel in their respective fields of expertise.
Very much in line with this trend of excellence, Class of 2003/2005's ELOMO JEMEA MOKWE has just added "PUBLISHED AUTHOR" to her credentials, and on Saturday, July 29th 2023, she had a book signing Event for it in Douala.
The book's title?
"DEAR DAUGHTER".
As it suggests, the book is intended to serve as a guide for young girls and women.
Here's what the Author herself has to say about it:
"The book touches on issues which are pertinent to the life of a girl/young woman.
Being fully aware of the fact that many things could go wrong in the life of a daughter if she is not properly guided through life’s journey, and of the fact that parents sometimes get too busy to follow up on their daughter(s) the book “Dear Daughter “ is here to fill in the necessary gaps.
Moreover, the book serves as a guide to daughters who have been separated from their parents either temporarily or permanently.
“Dear Daughter “ is highly recommended for every girl/young woman."
Definitely something that is relevant and impactful for "the girl child" we all want to see succeed, don't you think?

March 23rd 2024 - Douala, CAMEROON
On Sunday, March 24th 2024, the PALM SUNDAY worshippers at TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH, MBOPPI (DOUALA) commemorated the TRIUMPHAL ENTRY that occurred over 2,000 years ago in which JESUS THE CHRIST rode a donkey into Jerusalem.
The day before, however, they witnessed the MAJESTIC MARCH INTO HER 70th YEAR, of the 315th Student to be enrolled in Saker Baptist College, Class of 1971's Ms. PRUDENTIA AWUNTI, fondly known as "MA PRU".
The Reception which followed at the Communauté Hellenique Hall was just as FESTIVE. Couldn't be otherwise for an Event whose /THEME/DRESS CODE COLORS were White, Purple & Gold.
That would explain why the EXSSA-DOUALA Chapter Members came out clad in a very regal purple asoebi, befitting of their Chapter's "ROCK OF AGES" who, I can testify, not just "misseth" not a meeting, but "arriveth" FIRST - even though she "driveth" not!!!
She had her Class of 1971 Classmates with her:

Ms. Bridget MAKIA
Ms. Mary GWEI and
Ms. Susan NGALLE,
some of whom wore their own GOLD asoebi.
Not just EXSSA-CAMEROON'S CHOIR LEADER "GURU", Class of 1978's Mrs. Florence Weyih GROB was on hand to sing; Pastor BANGHA EMMANUEL was there live to perform "FOYN TI FOYN", as seen in the clip above.
As you would expect, they Danced, Ate and Sipped, but above all, they SANG!
In short, A MERRY TIME WAS HAD BY ALL, in HONOR of a very deserving, down-to-the-marrow SAKERETTE!
We join her "one eye" Daughter, ROBERTA NYINMAH, a Class of 2006/08 SAKERETTE in her own right, all her AWUNTI, NJU & WAINDIM SAKERETTE Nieces & Grand Nieces, and the rest of her Family to celebrate her and wish her well.
Wishing you a Healthy, Happy, Fruitful and Fulfilling stay on the 7th Floor, Dear Ma PRU.
